How to get here
There are three working civil airports in Puglia - Brindisi, Bari and Foggia.
Foggia airport is in Northern Puglia, Bari is further south and Brindisi further south still - see map.
Ryanair are offering economically priced flights to Bari and Brindisi from London Stansted. They also fly internally to Brindisi from Bologna and to Bari from Pisa, Bologna, and Alghero. Their other flights to Bari include direct flights from Malta and Frankfurt Hahn.
British Airways have 2 flights per week from Gatwick to Bari on Thursdays and Saturdays.
Alitalia fly to Bari and Brindisi from Milan and Rome with an average of 6 flights a day.
Easyjet fly from Milan Malpensa to Bari and Brindisi and from Rome to Bari. They also have direct flights from the UK to Napoli which is approximately 3.5 hours drive. See map for an idea of location.
Airone fly at least 3 times a day to and from Rome and Milan to both Bari and Brindisi.
Foggia airport has just re-opened and has flights from Geneva and Milan Malpensa.
Visitors to Northern Puglia can also fly to Pescara from London Stanstead with Ryanair. Pescara also has flights to/from Paris, Milan Linate and Turin.
An economical option for travellers to Puglia from the midlands and north of the UK is to fly from Leeds Braford to Rome with Jet2 and then onto Bari with Blu-express or Airone. Flights from Leeds Bradford are every day from March until October.
