 | Originally the property consisted of a trullo, lamia and animal pens all in a derelict condition. In consultation with the owner, it was decided to renovate the trullo in a traditional manner and integrate the lamia and animal pens as a new build simulating a Mediterranean hillside village with different cubic volumes at different heights. The result is a mix and match of traditional trullo curvature with the angular Mediterranean flat roofed building. This very original structure combines history and modernity in a series of constant internal and external light games and provides a comfortable livable environment incorporating the latest technology. |
